FAQ
PRODUCT QUESTIONS
Do I really need a Chainsaw Trauma Kit?
The first lines of defense in injury prevention are the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and appropriate training. PPE for chainsaw use at a minimum includes chaps, helmet and face and eye protection. A good resource from OSHA is here. Secondly for training, we recommend Game of Logging.
But even then accidents happen. There's something about a sharpened chain spinning at around 88 feet per second that makes it behave unexpectedly when it doesn't have your full attention. The very nature of logging and wood cutting operations puts you in remote locations not easily or quickly accessible to first responders. It can only take minutes to bleed out from a major wound.
Our Trauma kits allow you to initiate immediate self or buddy aid with the right tools for the job in a low profile package that is always with you.
Will this thing always get in the way while I'm trying to work?
Our exclusive Trauma Kit pouch contains velcro throughout the belt channel, locking it into place. The pouch itself is low profile, light weight and only takes up 4 inches of belt space. Our Trauma Kit stays where you put it and is where you expect it to be if needed.

Where can I get more information on how to safely use a chainsaw?
We highly recommend The Game of Logging for chainsaw safety training and proper felling techniques. Game of Logging 1 is suitable for the novice with no prior experience.
